Cassidy Mitchell, Leisure - Junior Travel Specialist

Background: Cassidy Mitchell is a native Californian who caught the travel bug on her first trip to Europe at eight years old. Visiting France and Italy with her family was unlike anything she had encountered, and experiencing new cultures and cities at such a young age was riveting. While obtaining her degree in International Affairs at The University of Colorado at Boulder, she took advantage of many study abroad opportunities: a summer in Chicoutimi, Quebec; a stay with a host family in Annecy, France; and Semester at Sea – where she took classes aboard a “floating university,” traveling around the world for four months and visiting nine countries. Prior to entering the travel industry, Cassidy worked in finance for seven years until finally deciding to follow her passion for travel. She joined All Star in 2011 and has never looked back.

Areas of Specialty: Luxury Leisure Travel in South America, Asia, Western Europe and Australia/South Pacific; Corporate retreats in California

Favorite Destination: "Every place I visit for the first time! Knowing that a new travel adventure is just around the corner is the best feeling in the world. I love the excitement of touching down in a new destination, and taking in new sights, sounds and smells while meeting new people from all sorts of backgrounds"

Favorite Travel Experience: "Hiking to the Mirador Las Torres in Torres del Paine National Park in Chilean Patagonia was the most beautiful and peaceful adventure I’ve experienced. The morning my husband and I set out for the hike, we were told there was only a 30% chance we would see Torres due to cloud cover. We took our chances since we were unsure if we would ever have another opportunity. Our guide led us on an 11-mile hike, and we had perfect weather the whole time! The view was absolutely breathtaking from the base of Torres, where we set up a picnic lunch and enjoyed the incredible scenery. It was a day I will never forget and was worth every step!"
